Police Arrests Mavin’s Artistes In Lekki (Read Details) Reports going on the Internet right now states that DNA Twins, music duo signed by Don Jazzy into Mavin Records have been arrested by Police in Lekki area of Lagos. Reports humming around the internet says that they were arrested because they had huge amount of cash on them. It was revealed the police had to chase the singers vehicle before eventually catching up on them in Lekki. The Policemen seized their car, handcuffed them and whisked them away. Bank Official Releases Balances On Onnoghen’s Five Accounts An official of Standard Chartered Bank, Ifeoma Okeagbue, gave some details of the balances on the five different accounts of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, to the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Thursday. Okeagbue, who is Team Leader, Priority Banking, as well as Onnoghen’s Relationship Manager at the branch of the bank in Wuse II, Abuja, said all the bank accounts were still active. EFCC Bust 3 YAHOO BOYS In Ibadan (See What Happened Next) A Federal High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State on Wednesday, arraigned three internet fraudsters, also known as ‘Yahoo boys’ for engaging in cyber crimes. One of the suspects; Segun Isaac (a Polytechnic student duped his victims under the name Tracie Morgan); Olamide O. Samuel and Afolabi Wasiu. They were charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commisison, EFCC, for obtaining under false pretence, an offence contrary to Section 22(3) (b) and punishable under Section 22(4) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention Etc) Act 2015. Isaac and Olamide were initially on two-count and five-count charges respectively, while Afolabi was originally arraigned on an eight-count charge. BREAKING: Osun State Government Shut Down Three Universities With Reasons The Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has ordered the closure of three tertiary institutions in the state following a protest which turned violent in Ilesa. Oyetola condemning the incident said the closure was with immediate effect. The state government announced this in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Adeniyi Adesina.
