Ibadan Poly Lecturer bags 20-year imprisonment Over Exam Malpractice One Mr Olanrewaju Kayode, a part-time examiner at The Polytechnic, Ibadan has been sentence 20-year jail term for committing examination malpractice, Westerndailynews reports. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State pronouncing is judgement said Kayode is found guilty of all charges preferred against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Kayode was a part-time examiner who assessed and marked students’ examination scripts of the Department of Accountancy of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. ICPC in June 2016 on a 5-count charge for allegedly collecting various sums of money from five students of the institution and attempting to assist them to alter and secure higher examination scores on different scripts written outside the Examination Hall.  Reduce Internet Data Cost FG  Orders NCC   The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami on Tuesday tasked the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to work out modalities to reduce the price of data in the interest of Nigerians. According to TheNation, Pantami said his office has been inundated with complaints from concerned Nigerians about the high cost of data by telecoms. The Minister mandated the management of the NCC led by its Board Chairman, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, during a courtesy visit to work out the modalities with other stakeholders in the industry in the next five working dates. Governor Makinde Gives His Wife Appointment Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has appointed his wife, Tamunominini Makinde, to head the Board of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA). The agency is responsible for the control of AIDS in the state.
