Chiwetalu Agu Arrest: Nigeria Can’t Have Peace Without Justice — Reno Omokri  Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist has reacted to the arrest of Nollywood veteran, Chiwetalu Agu. Omokri described it as great justice for Agu to be arrested by the Nigerian Army for wearing a Biafran flag while Sheikh Gumi and Miyetti Allah organization who openly campaigned for terrorists and threatened Nigerians are still free. The movie legend was walking within the Upper Iweka Bridge in Anambra when the incident occurred. Two soldiers suddenly accosted, wrestled Agu to the ground and dragged him. Agu was reportedly sharing food to the less privileged persons when government forces stopped him. Speaking on the incident, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Army Public Relations said the veteran actor was apprehended for inciting members of the public and soliciting support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). However, Omokri said the arrest of Agu while Gumi and Miyetti Allah members we...

Nigerian Army Arrest Chiwetalu Agu for wearing a dress made of BIAFRA FLAG colours .( It Is Illegal And Unconscionable, By Inibehe Effiong ) The harassment and arrest of celebrated Nollywood actor, Mr. Chiwetalu Agu, on Thursday, 7th October, 2021 by the Nigerian Army is illegal, unconscionable and unwarranted. The actor has not committed any criminal offence known to law. The Nigerian Army should stop ridiculing itself before the international community. Supposing without conceding that the dressing of the legendary actor amounts to “incitement” as claimed by the Army, it is the Nigeria Police Force that should have responded. There is no evidence of incitement against him. Nothing was inscribed on the said cloth to incite the public. Is the Army suggesting that wearing clothes with certain colours or identifying with certain colours amounts to inciting people to violence or that any colour identical to the Biafran flag is inciting?. That will be a dangerous proposition. If they are c...

Anti-Open Grazing Law: Miyetti Allah threatens to Sue Makinde, Akeredolu, Others  The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore group has reacted to the passage of the anti-opening grazing law in Oyo state and other southern states, describing it as ‘satanic’ and ‘politically motivated,’ adding that it would sue Governor Makinde and other governors over the law. The group’s National Secretary, Selah Alhassan, told newsmen that legal paperwork was being done and the governors who had signed the ‘hateful’ bill would hear from their lawyers. He said, “I think such laws are not meant to engender peace in our nation because they are hateful, politically motivated and satanic. We don’t see anything good in such laws. While they are at it, God will not allow them to succeed, because these herders are innocent. They are also victims of insurgencies. I see the government playing politics with all these things, and the politics is not working for them. It is a process, not a one-man stream.” He also called on t...

Local blacksmiths now manufacture AK-47, says defence agency   The Defence Intelligence Agency has said some blacksmiths in Nigeria now have the expertise to manufacture assault weapons such as AK-47. The DIA noted that while blacksmiths and the rifles they traditionally produce are an integral part of some cultures in the country, some blacksmiths now produce more sophisticated weapons — a development he said posed a security threat. Representing the DIA at a public hearing organised by the House Committee on National Security and Intelligence on four security-related bills in Abuja on Monday, Air Commodore F. G. Okoyi said, “The cautionary attachment to blacksmith skills, as well as the traditional weapons manufactured for hunting, ceremonial and ornamental purposes, has remained the symbol of power and prestige in some traditional communities in Nigeria. “However, in recent times, blacksmiths have advanced their skills and now possess the capability to manufacture assorted and sophi...

FROM SELLING SPARE PARTS TO BEING THE WORLD'S FIRST BLACK CAR MANUFACTURER, INNOCENT CHUKWUMA . He is the founder of Innoson motors. Mr Chukwuma hails from Nnewi, Anambra state, Nigeria. The 46-year-old man built his vehicle manufacturing plant with N3,000 he got from his brother. Today he has a multi-billion naira business. He started his business at age 30 by selling motor spare parts and graduated into selling complete motorcycles. He crashed the sales price of the motorcycles after he improvised a means of importing 220 units via a container instead of the habitual 40 units (which resulted from negotiation with his manufacturers to knock down parts of the motorcycle to facilitate more of them in one container). Subsequently, he could save what he could have paid for extra containers. The business surged as a result of cheaper rates. He had to clear 200 containers in a month because of the high demand. He observed the motorcycle has a lot of plastic components. Soon he started h...
