So Sad! Baby Who Was Donated N70m To For Surgery By Nigerians, Dies On Her Way To Dubia



Baby Benaiah Monday has died on his way to Dubai, where he was expected to undergo a major heart surgery.
His death comes a few weekas after his story caught national interest after a video of his weeping dad soliciting for help for him in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, went viral on social media.
Barely 48 hours after the video hit the internet, Nigerians rallied around and donated to have him sent to Dubai for the heart surgery. 15 million Naira was needed for the surgery but expectations were exceeded and 70 million Naira was realized.
Sadly, Benaiah lost the battle on Friday morning in Lagos, while going for the surgery.
He was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Beware Of The ‘Kponmo ’ You Buy – NAFDAC Warns The Management of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has alerted the public, especially consumers of animal hides, popularly known as ‘Ponmo’ in local parlance on the activities of some unscrupulous business men and traders who are selling industrial animal hides as food article. BREAKING: Court Orders AGF Malami To ‘Delete’ Section 84 (12) From Electoral Act A Federal High Court sitting in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, has declared Section 84 (12) of the recently signed Electoral Act 2022 a nullity. Justice Evelyn Anyadike, who delivered the judgment, also directed the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to expunge that section from the Act. The section which requires political appointees seeking elective offices to resign 30 days before election, states that  “No political appointee at any level shall be a voting delegate or be voted for at the Convention or Congress of any political party for the purpose of the nomination of candidates for any election.” Meanwhile, before any section of the Electoral Act can be tampered with, the Act has to go through a legislative process and return to the president for fresh assent.
