UNTIL WE RESIST THE DECEIT AND SAY "NO MORE TO BAD GOVERNANCE", THINGS WILL KEEP GETTING WORSE -TUNDE WALE ADEGBITE

MUST READ BY TUNDE WALE ADEGBITE: UNTIL WE RESIST THE DECEIT AND SAY "NO MORE BAD GOVERNANCE", THINGS WILL KEEP GETTING WORSE
Founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore was arrested around 1:25am on August 3, 2019 for planning a revolution to confront bad governance in Nigeria on the 5th of August 2019. As usual Twitter was charged. A #FreeSoworeNowhashtag has been trending heavily and a "GodPunishSowore" gang has come up. The revolutionary protest which was practically obscure for more than 3 weeks has now hit mega-popularity 48 hours before the protest.
I have just finished watching one of Sowore’s videos done some days back and it is interesting he FULLY knows he will be picked up. I have also read from a member of the "GodPunishSowore" gang, an ardent buharist whose manufacturing business recently failed but hoping for a government contract. A Buharideen whose kids study in Turkey has been screaming at me today with the scornful laughter of "let them jail the clown. He has no respect for constituted authority". I’m sure we all know the difference between a Buharist and a Buharideen by now.
I have looked at this interesting revolutionary protest and here are my own conclusions as listed:
1. Nigeria will continue to get worse until someone rises up to say NO. The nincompoops that get into power here eternally find lies and media men to defend their inefficiencies.
2. Until the people stand up and confront these fake media lies with street realities, nothing will change. It is an insult to 180million people to be earning $40,000 of the people’s money monthly, to find it difficult to pay the same people a $300 monthly minimum wage. The life of a Nigerian politician is not superior to the life of a Funtua civil servant. You cannot be living in GRAs etc with tarred roads, all-expense paid generators, water, gas, wardrobes and be denying citizens good roads and infrastructure. Ghana and Rwanda have proved that a good life is possible in Black Africa. Must Nigeria be a perpetual failure?
3. Ghana, Rwanda and Egypt have all showed Africa that the person that takes over after a revolution is more important than the revolution. Libya is the proof.
4. I hate to see Nigeria as another Animal Farm. But please anyone who read George Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984 should please do these things. Replace Buhari with Napoleon with APC as his Pigs, Nigerian Media as Squealer, Moses as Organised religious Fundamentalists, China as Mr Jones and Boxer as the 180 million Nigerian citizens. Then something will immediately occur to you.
5. Sowore spoke about the future of print media and it has happened. He spoke about the cannabis industry and even a state today is considering it. He desired to immortalise MKO Abiola and before he said it at all in 2018, it was adopted. Sowore said it in 2018 that like he warned about print media, cryptocurrency is coming over to disrupt traditional banking and as at today, not only has Facebook promised to start its cryptocurrency in 2020, MasterCard and Visa has signed to back its crypto project! How do you leave jettison a visionary that wants a revolutionary protest to fight against insecurity and poor governance for a man that says many Nigerian youths are lazy when he's killed 4m jobs in 2016 by senseless economic policies?
6. If you intend to settle in Nigeria permanently and thrive, be ready to provide your own water, electricity, roads, healthcare, security and possible business environment. The government of Nigeria has no plan for Nigerians as long as their pigs are cared for. They do not care if you all relocate abroad. The only thing they don't want to hear is that there is no more crude oil down south.
7. The elite are not planning to win everyone. All they need is a divided house. For as long as the voice is divided, nothing has been said. They know that when Nigerians take a full house stand on a matter, there will be no going back. A typical example was the entry and exit of Ebola virus out of Nigeria.
I do not know whether Sowore would be released soon but 2 things are just sure. Until we gather together and say NO to this insecurity, power failure, high cost of manufacturing, poor healthcare, poor quality of education, illiteracy, poverty and bad governance, things will keep worsening. The policeman and army doing the arrests have families suffering from poor health, power failure and bad governance as well.
The longer we live in this self-denial, the "terribler" this country will be. The 276 Chibok girls in 2014 were not killed but kidnapped. Yet this incumbent party brought the whole world in and shut the country down. 65 people got killed some days ago and nothing happened! Nothing!! We all continued and did things normally simply because that killing did not happen in Ikeja. We have hypocritically lost our sense of humanity.
Much earlier, Facebook published faces and trending diaries, trending discussions and as at today, Facebook videos are the in-thing. One day, maybe 4 decades away, Facebook and Twitter will make an individual book of what each of us have written on our SM page per person. Your grandson will have heard all that Buhari did, including his inefficiency, Nepotism and docility. He will ask you, "Grandpa, so you praised Buhari even when he failed to fix electricity despite his manifesto? So you praised Buhari when he didn't wipe out Boko Haram in 100 days as he boasted? So you defended Buhari when 65 people were killed at a burial during his tenure? Was it this your Buhari's FG that said nothing was wrong when less than 45000 doctors were treating 180m people? Grandpa why did you write all these defending him that time? Was he paying you?"
You will pretend to be sleeping because your shame will know no bounds.
We all thought we had seen it all under PDP.
