Leaders of the Southwest zone of the All Progressives Congress APC, have resolved to produce the president of Nigeria cum 2023. 

At the end of Friday’s meeting of the leaders in Lagos, they put up a united front to attain this goal but there was no consensus on who should fly the presidential flag among the aspirants.

The meeting was convened by the former interim National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, and a former governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba to build solidarity especially among the aspirants for the office of the president of Nigeria.

In recent time, some have likened the declaration for the office of the president by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo

as a reenactment of the Awolowo-Akintola saga. In this case Tinubu represents Awolowo and Osinbajo, Akintola. They say Osinbajo betrayed his benefactor - Tinubu by daring to rival his ambition having enjoyed his support to become Vice President.
