Why I Visited Olusegun Obasanjo - Tinubu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State and the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, on Wednesday.

On that note, the former Lagos State governor has taken his time to explain why he paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo. During his speech, Bola Tinubu stated that he was in Ogun State to thank the people of Ogun State for their support of his presidential ambition.

According to Legit.ng, Bola Tinubu made this revelation while speaking to APC supporters shortly after meeting with former President Obasanjo behind closed doors.

Speaking further, he stated that the campaign had not yet begun, and thus he was not present to campaign or seek anyone's support.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set September 28, 2022 as the start date for presidential and National Assembly campaigns, with governorship and state houses of assembly campaigns beginning on October 12, 2022
