Yahoo Italy reports that the official Ronaldo jerseys which cost about $120, has raked in $62.4 million in total revenue almost half his transfer fee paid to his former club. The Portuguese and five-time Ballon d’Or winner, 33, signed for Juventus from Real Madrid in a four-year contract for 100 million euros last week. Beware Of The ‘Kponmo ’ You Buy – NAFDAC Warns The Management of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has alerted the public, especially consumers of animal hides, popularly known as ‘Ponmo’ in local parlance on the activities of some unscrupulous business men and traders who are selling industrial animal hides as food article. A statement issued by NAFDAC’s Director General, Professor Moji Christianah Adeyeye, said as far back as 2015, following intelligence reports, the Agency, through Investigation and Enforcement Directorate, had been successfully dealing with isolated cases of dangerous diversion of animal hides meant for industrial use into the food chain for consumption as local delicacy, Ponmo, saying this practice posed grave danger to public health. BREAKING: Court Orders AGF Malami To ‘Delete’ Section 84 (12) From Electoral Act A Federal High Court sitting in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, has declared Section 84 (12) of the recently signed Electoral Act 2022 a nullity. Justice Evelyn Anyadike, who delivered the judgment, also directed the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to expunge that section from the Act. The section which requires political appointees seeking elective offices to resign 30 days before election, states that  “No political appointee at any level shall be a voting delegate or be voted for at the Convention or Congress of any political party for the purpose of the nomination of candidates for any election.” Meanwhile, before any section of the Electoral Act can be tampered with, the Act has to go through a legislative process and return to the president for fresh assent.
