[Video] Kidnapped Victim on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Released After Paying N5Million Ransom Days after their kidnap on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, one of the kidnapped victims has regained his freedom from the kidnapper’s den. According to a viral video made by the victim’s sister, the kidnapped victim named Segun, was kidnapped at Ijebu-Isara in Ogun state on his way from Ibadan. Fire Razes Agbeni Market, Destroys Goods Worth Millions Tragedy struck at Agbeni Market on Monday as fire razed down some shops destroying goods worth several millions of naira. According to reports, the incident occurred at the Jamoje compound in Agbeni market in the early hours of the day. Traders in the market reportedly made several efforts to put out the fire all to no avail. Reports have it that about four shops were affected by the inferno, before help came. It was further learned that goods worth millions of naira were destroyed before the fire was extinguished. Olubadan Of Ibadan Is Dead The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, has died. The monarch who was 93 years old died in the early hours of Sunday, January 2. The monarch who ruled over 11 local government areas that make up of Ibadan died less than one month after the death of Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi. Sources at the Popoyemoja palace of the Olubadan said that the Olubadan died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. Adetunji, who was crowned the 41st Olubadan on March 4, 2017, was born on August 26, 1928. He was the first of 17 children of his parents. May his soul rest in peace, Amen
