Fire Razes Agbeni Market, Destroys Goods Worth Millions

Tragedy struck at Agbeni Market on Monday as fire razed down some shops destroying goods worth several millions of naira.

According to reports, the incident occurred at the Jamoje compound in Agbeni market in the early hours of the day.

Traders in the market reportedly made several efforts to put out the fire all to no avail.

Reports have it that about four shops were affected by the inferno, before help came.

It was further learned that goods worth millions of naira were destroyed before the fire was extinguished.

Meanwhile, the Head of Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Mashood Adewuyi, who confirmed the incident said, “Yes it occurred on Monday morning”.

“How I Survived Two Boko Haram Bomb Attacks In Maiduguri” – Borno Man Tells His Story A young man who survived two Boko Haram bomb attacks in Madiduguri, Borno state, has told his story. A 22-year-old amputee, Yahuza Mohammad, said he survived two separate bomb attacks coordinated by Boko Haram suicide bombers at Muna Garage area of Maiduguri. Mohammed told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri that the incidents occurred between 2017 and 2018.
