"He Threatened & Forcefully Slept With Me In The Same Bus" – Nigerian Lady Narrates Ordeal With BRT driver, Omininikoron

The man identified as Nice (Andrew) Omininikoron, the driver of the Bus Rapid Transit vehicle arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a passenger, Oluwabamise Ayankole, again has been accused of engaging in illicit acts with another female passenger in Lagos State. The victim who spoke to PUNCH Metro, accused Omininikoron of forcefully sleeping with her last year in the same BRT bus on the 25th of November, 2021.

This latest allegation came amidst the calls for justice for Oluwabamise, whose lifeless body was recovered at Ebute Ero, after she was last seen on the BRT bus driven by Omininikoron.

However, while the victim was speaking to the Newsmen on Friday, she disclosed that she was an ex-sales girl at a shop around the Ajah metropolis of Lagos State. Further speaking, she revealed that the BRT driver, on that fateful day, forcefully slept with her and threatened her with a knife in other to have his way. She also narrated that she didn't report the case to the police because she felt no one would hear her voice and she'd be put to shame. But on seeing his pictures circulating the internet concerning Oluwabamise, she felt bad and decided to also come out publicly to reveal what the suspect had once done to her as well.

In her words, she said, "I work in Ajah and on this unfortunate day, I closed from work late around 8pm, then I boarded the BRT bus to convey me to Jakande, along Lekki Epe Expressway. It was Omininikoron that was driving the bus that day and I was sitting at the back of the bus. While we were approaching my destination after all the other passengers had dropped, the driver switched off the light of the bus, but the AC of the bus was still working. Then all of a sudden, he pulled over the bus and asked me to come and sit at the front of the bus instead of sitting at the back. After I sat where he asked me to, he started asking me a lot of displeasing questions. I became puzzled and before I could know it, he brought out some drugs from his pocket and ingested them. A few minutes later, he started making advances towards me and I became very uncomfortable and insisted on getting down, but he didn’t open the door."

"He said he wanted to have fun with me and at that moment I realized the man was real with all the advances he was making. Before I could think of what to do, he brought out a knife and tore the clothes I was wearing and slept with me. After he was done, he insisted on taking me to my destination and while we were on our way, he started begging me for what he did earlier and requested for my account number and sent me three thousand naira", she added.

The victim narrated that the money he sent to her was to buy painkillers and after then, he opened the door for her to leave. A statement of account provided by the victim confirmed Omininikoron sent N3,000 to her on November 25, 2021. A video clip of her torn clothes was also seen by The Punch's correspondent.

However, the police spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, urged the victim to make a formal report of the incident, because untill then would her case against the suspect would be investigated.
