NURTW Suspends MC Oluomo as Chairman, Gives Reasons
Musiliu Akinsanya, who is popularly known as MC Oluomo has been suspended by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) as its Lagos Chairman. The pressure group has revealed the reason for his indefinite suspension from union activities.
The group explained that MC Oluomo’s suspension is as a result of his alleged acts of insobordination and misconduct. The Lagos NURTW boss was accused of inciting the Union members against the national body.
MC Oluomo’s supporters had earlier staged a protest during which they accused the union’s national body of interfering in the affairs of the state. This recent development is suspected to be connected to this.
The national body in the letter sent to him instructed the Lagos NURTW boss to immediately hand over to his deputy and hand over the union’s properties to the State secretary.
In the letter signed by its General Secretary, Kabiru Yau, the body revealed that it decided to suspend him after it became clear that MC Oluomo was not apologetic over his actions after he was directed to explain his reasons for embarking on such
